All Saints Parish
The Church, parish family center, and rectory buildings are located at 42 Harry L. Drive, Johnson City, NY. The present pastor is Rev. Dennis Ruda. The parish cemetary is located on East Maine Road, Johnson City.
HISTORICAL HIGHLIGHTS
1925 - The first service and meeting to discuss the ideology and purpose of the parish, conducted by Rev. Leon Grochowski.
1926 - The first administrator of the parish, Father Michalski, celebrated services regularly at John Hus Presbyterian Church on Glenwood Avenue in Binghamton. The first Parish Committee was formed.
1928 - Residents from Endicott, NY met to form a parish in Endicott, which later merged with the Binghamton group.
1930 - The present church at 42 Harry L. Drive in Johnson City, NY was built.
1931 - Blessing and dedication of the present church.
1934 - The parish purchased four acres of land on East Maine Road, Johnson City, for a cemetery.
1945 - The present rectory was built.
1949 - The chapel at the parish cemetery was built.
1954 - A parish hall was built.
1974 - The church interior was remodeled.
1980 - An addition to the church building was constructed.
1998 - Parish hall was demolished, and construction of a new hall began.
1999 - The new Parish Family Center was dedicated by Prime Bishop John Swantek on October 24.
2000 - Demolition and burning of cemetary chapel and installation of granite altar, benches, and flag pole. Dedication mass at new cemetery altar on Memorial Day 2000. |
